What is Achilles Tendonitis?
Tendonitis is inflammation of a tendon(s), which causes pain on movement of a joint. The Achilles tendon is a vitally important tendon that can become irritated or inflamed at the point of attachment to the heel.
It is important to get treatment as early as possible as it is possible that the condition could degenerate causing further damage to the tendon and also allow growth of bony spurs on the heel.
